On May 20th, 2010, 286 scholarships totaling
almost $770,000 were awarded to ambitious and deserving Clark County
high school seniors. The Public Education Foundation’s 11th
Annual Scholarship Recognition Luncheon was held, once again, in
the Venetian Ballroom at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino.
The Venetian and The Sands Foundation are proud
and longtime supporters of The Public Education Foundation and
have underwritten the Scholarship Luncheon for several years.
The scholarships were awarded to high school
seniors who are planning to continue their education at a post-secondary
institution. The scholarships were awarded based on criteria
such as academic achievement, planned area of study or financial
need.
The Public Education Foundation is grateful
for the Venetian’s and The Sands Foundation’s involvement in ensuring
the Scholarship Luncheon was truly special. Thank you!
