The Public Education Foundation has received
a $7,249 donation from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), one
of the biggest arena attractions in rock music.
The group presented the Foundation with a
ceremonial check on November 20, 2008 before their show at the
MGM Grand Garden Arena. TSO set aside one dollar from every
ticket sold at the Las Vegas performance for the Foundation. The
funding will help the Foundation with its mission to improve
public education in Southern Nevada by generating community resources
and facilitating collaborations and partnerships to ensure high-quality
public educational opportunities for all children. The Foundation
worked with Lotus Broadcasting to facilitate the relationship
with TSO.
