Shakespeare in the Schools

Welcome to the 2009 season of "Shakespeare in the Schools!" We are proud to present "The Taming of the Shrew," featuring Shakespeare at Play.

This educational-outreach program has been bringing Shakespeare to the teachers students of Clark County for 17 years. It begins with a teachers' in-service in the spring, followed by on-site student workshops in the fall. The program's highlight is a free student matinee performed at the Henderson Pavilion. All activities feature a professional theater company and are offered free of chargeto the participating teachers.

Join us for these exciting upcoming events:

• Saturday, May 16: Teachers' In-service
  at CCSD Curriculum and Professional Development Offices

• Monday, Sept. 28 - Wednesday, Sept. 30: School-site student workshops
  at participating CCSD middle and high schools

• Thursday, Oct. 2: Student matinee of "The Taming of the Shrew"
  at the Henderson Pavilion at Liberty Pointe

• Friday, Oct. 2 - Sunday, Oct. 4: "Shakespeare in the Park" festival
  produced by the City of Henderson
