Wells Fargo Grant a Wish for Your School
The Nevada Public Education Foundation in partnership
with The Public Education Foundation offer two open competitive
grant programs.
Nevada A.C.C.E.S.S.
(Academics + Careers + College and/or Training Equal Student Success)
Funders: In Washoe and Carson
- USA Funds, Alcoa Foundation and Redfield Foundation; In Southern
and Rural Nevada - USA Funds and Nevada Power Company
Description: The objective of
the grant funds is to provide resources for events or planning
for A.C.C.E.S.S. projects. Suggested categories and/or activities
may include: Futures Expo; College Fairs; Career and College Exploration
Events on College Campuses; Middle School Career Exploration Day;
Financial Aid Training Sessions; Local career development opportunities
that fit the career fair and career exploration theme and access
to higher education; Parent events related to student preparation
for higher education.
Dates: The
application deadline has passed. Application provided for review
purposes only.
Eligibility: School-to-career
partnerships, partnerships between secondary and higher education,
and non-profit education organizations throughout Nevada are eligible.
Awards: A total of $65,000-$100,000
is available. Approximately 6-10 projects will be funded and size
of awards will vary.

Wells Fargo Grant a Wish
for Your School Mini-Grants
Funder: Wells Fargo Bank
Description: The purpose of this
grant is to improve education opportunities for Nevada's students
through classroom-based grants that support programs, curriculum
materials, and instruction in the areas of financial management
(using Wells Fargo’s “Hands on Banking” program),
math, technology, and careers.
Dates: Application
deadline has passed. Application provided for review purposes
only.
Eligibility: K-12 teachers and
schools throughout Nevada where Wells Fargo has a branch presence
(this includes every county except White Pine, Lincoln, Mineral
and Esmeralda) are eligible. Priority will be given to applications
for schools and/or programs that support 51% or greater free and
reduced lunch students, or utilize a financial literacy component.
Awards: A total of approximately
$50,000 is available. Individual grant requests may not exceed
$3,000.
